Q3DI think it's actually pretty nice, there's a lot of interesting visual ideas and the first part of the movie is really good, except maybe the wonky visual effects, but the 2nd half is so blatantly cut up and re edited by the producers that it totally kills it, it's actually pretty sad how they didn't respect David's vision for this film, even to this day he seems pretty sad about it

I understand but I disagree. I think the film keeps it’s focus personally.
The story is about k discovering himself and his role to play in this larger narrative beyond him.
And the reason the OG never interested me like this film did is because i never really cared for Deckard as a character
Yeah I know that's something people don't like about the character, but imo it just plays into that doubt you have about him, you're never really sure who exactly you're watching do all these things, if that person is actually "there", etc.
I need to re-watch 2049 tbh I only saw it once when it released so like 4 years ago iirc

Bringing back Deckerd was a mistake I think

Bruh what you saying is controversial but it’s not wrong. K had way more to do than Deckard, it’s just that OG BR set the tone for cyberpunk in film
