In short most people have been like “ it’s Batman “ is it much improved and story looks better than most “ yes” will it do well in box office with vaccine numbers up and no hbo max ? Yes

Those movies don't have a same day streaming release so that makes it hard comparison. And ones that did like Halloween Kills are holiday franchise movies so that makes sense (and this film didnt do anything oversees)

There was a report a few days ago they were eyeing 70M from this weekend in the markets they were dropping (U.S, China, etc..) They are hitting or topping that number most likely. And its already been out for a month and done well oversees.

Its already set to top $200M with its whole U.S run remaining. Seems about right. Its not like this movie was ever seeing 500-1B in this environment

Directors need to bring back threatening to kill the studio exec if they dont fund your movie.

Halloween Kills hasnt even opened in Dune's 4 biggest overseas markets, has less than half of Dune's score on rottentomatoes, the 12th movie in a horror franchise, and nor is it based on a book that is a top 3 selling Sci Fi novel of all time

Dune should not be doing less than Halloween it really shouldnt especially not potentially $20M less. Not to mention Halloween didnt even get IMAX release and 24-25% of Dune's ticket sales are IMAX which means they make a lot more money usually

saying Halloween should do well bc its a holiday franchise movie is just BS btw the numbers are really impressive all things considered while Dune's #s arent very impressive

should i torrent this or see it in imax? please bear in mind the only imax viewing is in 3D
