Sounds like my review about another Dennis project

It only covers a bit of the book, the fighting in the book is also very formal and tactical. Changing it for the movie would piss off alot of people tbh. Characters I agree haven't been fleshed out.

Gurney, Thufir, Chani will more likely be explored in the second movie since they have alot of the story in the book also

Movie needed something other than "sci-fi" s*** for mainstream audiences to attach too. It lacked developing intriguing human drama.

Still the greatest cinema experience

Seeing it in true imax was legitimately the best cinematic experience I've ever had, just saw it in dolby to compare and it did not hit the same. still amazing, but didn't hold a candle visually.

if you can get to a true imax theatre, you need to, it's a whole different experience.
