hope so too. was a great read. looks like Denis is going all the way in with this universe. also producing and maybe directing the shows
anyone else curious on how the riding of the sandworms are going to look.
also I don't think we got a look at Alia yet?

yup I fully hope he sticks by all the content that they are planning on releasing
that said I just hope its not a box office bust, they really need to market the hell out of this film. I'm so glad Warner got the rights to this so we get another mega budget tv series with HBO it should be the GoT successor.
Still no trailer...
They will wait till july to see how reopening of cinemas goes and then decide if it makes sense to put money into the marketing now.
Won't affect the release date
I watched this three hour “redux” version on youtube that supposedly tries to fix a lot of the problems the original film had. I definitely would’ve been lost on some parts if i didn’t read the book. It was cool for what it was, definitely would’ve cast someone else as Paul tho.
here’s a link to watch but u need a vpn if ur in the US https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94d77kdmOvU
yo @Elric did u see this one yet? Lynch's Dune was more of an entertaining-because-it's-a-complete-clusterfuck kind of watch to me but this actually makes it a seriously kinda cool very trippy sci-fi flick. It's ridiculous how much better the pacing is. 'cept for 2 or 3 really badly looking obvious b-reel actually is a really seamless job too. Getting rid of 60% of the voiceover makes a huge difference lol

Interesting but Lynch did nothing wrong in the first place love that voiceover

even he himself disagrees with that so much lol but I like your enthusiasim lol.
Lynch says that already beginning in pre-production his vision got compromised but what broke his heart was that he didn't have final cut and had to trim it from 3 hours down to 2. You might find it interesting just for the additional footage
It's a fairly ambitious recut though which actually re-arranges a lot and achieves imo much better pacing, limits the cheesiness and fills things in so the story is more coherent. To me it's still a very flawed film but it def made me appreciate it as more of a rough gem
In a new interview with Variety, the Oscar-winning composer says the possibilities for the “Dune” score are so endless that “I’m driving everybody crazy because I’m so full of ideas.” Zimmer is in the middle of drafting compositions and experimenting with sounds for the “Dune” score, and he calls collaborating with Villeneuve “totally and utterly inspiring.”
“Right now I’m in the middle of making these sounds,” Zimmer said. “I just have these ideas, and it’s like this every day. I’m doing all these experiments, and I have no idea if any of them will ever really end up in the movie. But we are so dedicated, trying to do something different, to do solid and honorable work, and do justice to the book.”
Denis was on Deakins podcast.
They didnt talk about Dune tho, just said that he's currently working on the VFX.
