Dune: Part Two is one of the greatest sci-fi sequels of all time. It broadens the scope of the story and successfully brings the first book to a close. Denis once again shows why he is one of the greatest directors living today. He is able to pull great performances from his actors and is able to pull an especially commanding performance from Timothee Chalamet. Austin Butler was intensely frightening as Feyd-Rautha and Zendaya may have delivered the best performance of her career with her turn as Chani.

Greg Fraser’s cinematography shined throughout the film and this is one of the best looking films of the decade. There’s always something on screen that is magnificent to look at. The music fills the world of Arakkis with a sense of grandeur, perfectly encapsulating the tone of each scene. Denis knew when to pull back on it when needed.

I’m trying to keep this short but I can go on and on about this film. It’s going to be hard to beat this movie this year. Dune: Part Two may very well be a masterpiece.

incredible movie that is faithful to the book and also takes its own risks that i’d say are well earned and make sense when translating the book to a movie of this scale.

watching this in IMAX was such an amazing experience, the entire building felt like it was shaking in certain scenes.

Also, even if you aren’t a Dune fan this movie is straight gorgeous for 2.5 hours. Cinematography was just stunning and I already want this on digital so I can screenshot some of those shots. The world building, the set design and costume design (!!!!!) the score (Zimmer does it again), all just breathtaking.

Bout to buy a ticket to run it back

I have never encountered a film going experience like this one since return of the king. 10/10. You MUST see it in imax. You will never experience more of a reason to "go to the movies".

One of the most satisfying theatre experiences. Not only is it the perfect sequel, it manages to outdo the prequel in many if not all aspects. Villeneuve honestly is putting many directors on notice with this one in regards of how to make a blockbuster. Just seeing the response in the theatre kind of guarantees Dune: Messiah will be greenlit. Timothee was great as Paul and balances well the anxiety that comes from his potential and the unforgiving role of a ruler. Zendaya as Chani, Austin Butler as Feyd and Javier Bardem as Stilgar are perhaps the strongest roles. There is a change from the source material revolving a certain character but they manage to translate it in a practical way. Which made me very happy because it was my biggest concern coming into the sequel. A must watch in IMAX!

They mentioning the past and I am genuinely asking hey how does this compare to the first movie which I said I would ask 2 weeks ago and want some level of answers.

One user responded and was kind and not a passive aggressive douchebag about it. That is all I wanted. Telling me to check letterboxd isn't that great of an answer. I clowned the guy who gave dune a 1.5 I even asked him why so low. No matter the movie or medium I ask someone why they feel the way they do. If that annoys offends people because they cant or dont want to answer the question they can block me. I will lose nothing of value and they will lose nothing of value and I won't even quote them

I asked a specific question. The question wasn't answered. I was being quoted about my specific question with "see it for yourself and read these reviews or impressions"

My specific question was answered by someone who took time to read the question show respect and not be condescending. I made a comment about people saying 10/10 Goat, greatest cinematic experience as I always do.

It wasn't that deep. Its hey can you expand thats it. If you want to expand do so if you don't why does my opinion matter.
