Loved it, think it was slightly better than 1 for me (not really a dig, just love that movie).

The visuals were breathtaking, wish I could go in IMAX

The Black and White Harkonnen sequence was easily the best, need a whole movie wit that aesthetic.

I'm still not that sold on Timothee though, he looks like a YouTuber who makes reaction videos and essays to me. Still hard to see him in a role like this.

Maybe my expectations were too high but I was slightly underwhelmed by Feyd Rautha. He still did great with what he had to do though.

On a sidenote that metallic Florence Pugh costume was insane

Good movie, but I’m not sure I’d rate it as a masterpiece. Feel like there were a bit too many moments of questionable dialogue and condensed arcs that hindered it. Also did not rly care for feyd or the harkonnens that much

As an audiovisual spectacle this delivered fully tho, esp in the first hour with the visions, water of life, and worm ride. I liked how psychedelic it was for a mainstream blockbuster, esp compared to the first one. I rewatched dune part one yesterday and that one seems so much more austere and restrained compared to this. Denis sense of scale and tension is on fully display here too, love seeing it in all his movies but esp
in this one.
