Them to you after seeing the movie
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

havent had a movie I wanna do multiple rewatches since forever. Maybe since The Batman, actually since Oppy I caught that 3 times

the only true imax theater in my city doesn’t have too many showings unfortunately smh
I liked this a lot. Been watching youtube videos about Dune universe all day after my showing. I wish they filmed this and Messiah back to back
It’s the first time I stayed out of a thread once the movie released and think that’s the way to go moving forward. That way things don’t get too overhyped for me and lowers my experience
That being said I did read through the whole thread after I watched
I can see it
There are similarities in their arcs, but the circumstances that send them down their respective paths are different. I think Eren's character is a bit more complex. Although, there's still a movie missing from this trilogy, so who knows.

I wouldnt call Eren more complex. But just on the surface theyre both similar character types. Both possess some kind of ability that allows them to percieve the future and past and they can both direct it. Both represent some sort of group going up against an oppressor. Both groups of people which the represent have a strong know how about how to live with the desert/ fight titans. You could say Mikasa is Erens Chani. Both choose a future which is terrible for everyone else except their own people. Its like Eren is his own Bene Gesserit basically
watched dune part one
saw dune part two for a second time in imax today
it finally clicked
i am dune-pilled

I said Eren is more complex because by the end of AoT he is a subversion of the typical anti-hero, cold and calculating. Another key difference is that Eren was born with a nature that craves conflict and violence. Which is not the case with Paul (at least from what has been shown so far). There are similar aspects, but key differences are being left out.

Sure if you think so. But I think the similarities are there

Eren much more complex ( and I even eventually got burnt out on him )
