When it drops on a streaming platform
First one didn’t do anything for me. It doesn’t help the lead actor sucks
don't u dare not watching in IMAX
Gonna be honest, after seeing Oppenheimer in 70mm imax, it was cool but
Dolby still has an extremely nice screen, great speakers, and most all, those reclining seats are just so necessary in a movie this long
The first one is still a top 2 best theater experience I’ve ever had
the voice sound design

just go to a modern liemax with recliner seats then. in Dune you will notice the effects of the imax aspect ratio much more than in Oppenheimer, since there a a lot of wide angle shots of land scapes/ the desert/ sky/ giant sandworms/ spaceships/ armies etc.

There’s no imax theater with reclining seats close to me
And even if they built them, I’d honestly still prefer Dolby. Last time I saw a movie in Liemax I actually happened to see another movie in Dolby a few weeks later, and by far preferred the visual and audio experience of the Dolby theater.
I’ll definitely say true imax is obviously worth it over Dolby if you don’t mind the seats though

i understand, but we are talking about Dune here. in the end it depends on the movie. most movies released in imax are trash and don't have any impressive visuals.. with Dune that's obviously different and I think one would miss on a lot if one chose Dolby over imax.
but i also hate sitting in a movue theater in general. i always have to move my legs and s*** to feel comfortable and my local (lie)max has those recliner seats:
sitting in a normal theater seat is of course much worse, so I undertand where u coming from

I would definitely love a dual laser imax with those seats, that looks nice. Hope they all get them in the next decade

Dune officially a toy commercial
Did you expect an IP franchise distributed by a major studio not to eventually become a toy commercial?

Sit back & enjoy the (hopefully) greatness
me when it gets delayed to oblivion

Dudes who say they didn’t like 1 hoping that the 2nd gets delayed ?
It’s almost like there is a pre conceived notion of wanting it to be bad
