I just rewatched it today actually and I still feel the same way. Also, there’s so much info given but a good chunk of it is never really articulated to a non-book reader. Not saying he should’ve went Star Wars Prequels with the exposition, but there’s times where Part One really feels like a sequel to a first movie more than the first movie itself
That’s just how Dune is. The book doesn’t spend anytime trying to explain things to the reader, it leaves it up to you to figure things out as you go along
The book has words that you’ve never seen before, but after some time you start to learn everything pretty well
Checking in, so f***ing hyped to see this this weekend
lol. Rewatching eastbound rn.
there was a certain scene in here that was so fire that the entire theater started clapping when it was over... ive never seen anything like that lmao

Generational humor
I must have never made it through even s2 when it was airing cuz 3 is killing me so far.
Duney McBride truly underrated
If you can't write good dialogue that's a you problem
Movies are nothing without standout characters that get you engaged based on their personalities, something you need good dialogue to pull off

one of these poor camrips
This shoulda been rated R to show more of the blood/violence and get us a shot of Lea's Seydouxs in IMAX

He def did a great job being under "PG13" but like they are obv getting around it being more adult like GoT was

I feel like a lot of the more brutal scenes really used the "show dont tell" method very well and made them way more impactful

Yeah feeling it coulda been R and the fact that it had just a few too many close up shots of Timmy's face in IMAX were almost holding me back from giving it a 5/5 but I decided they weren't big enough deals to knock it. I will def get over that feeling of it needing to be R now that I know what to expect with the film in subsequent viewings.
Rebecca Ferguson might be the hottest film milf of all time after this
