I've predicted this bullshit, that Kanye's own enslavement of his artist will bite him during this crusade that he set up to free and let's look at it honestly, only himself.

Even still it would take months to transfer ownership of those masters to all the artists. Old contracts would have to be voided in a legal way, new contracts would have to be written and signed. If the old contracts are voided then technically all good artists would become independent.

So yeah I’m sure UMG wouldn’t want that, so comparing the two wasn’t too far fetched
