I should have put you somewhere where no one could find you
Mansion out in the sticks with nothin' around you
Katy, Texas, Dallas, Texas, you know, a different environment

She’s from Houston, so Drake moving her to the outskirts of Houston makes sense

You come from a city where there's lean with the rocks in it

    Another Houston reference

Tickets to them places don't come cheap
And I see you back in Turks
Remember who took you there first and don't you forget it

Got you a whip then you got back on your s***
I had to tell Eric to go get it

The Eric he’s referring to is DJ Eric who is based in Houston as well, he was in the Childs Play video and the sample on the intro

I am enjoying the song, for some knowing the context behind the songs and seeing that Drake is talking about real people and events makes the song more authentic and even better.

I get that. I just don't think it matters. People love the song regardless, whether they know who it's about or not.

well this is for the people that think it matters, it doesn't take anything away from the song if anything it adds to it like another poster above said.

Also, Drake's songs could be about anyone. He deals with several women. Loads of them, we don't know about and have never seen. This song could be about anyone.

Not really. He doesn't deal with that person anymore. Hasn't for over a year now. She really doesn't matter. All it does is reenforce that the song is old.

seems weird to me that anyone at this point would doubt that drake doesn't do whatever it is he puts in his music. His track record for this kind of stuff is impeccable.
