2wordsI wouldn’t say it was moral posturing but some of the lines felt a little bit out of step or missing the mark to me
Drake is clearly trying to fight that battle, he’s suing his label and also has owned his masters since scorpion. He also released 3 projects which definitely has significance in his label situation. We don’t know what’s going to happen next but it would seem that Drake is either going to go independent or get an insane deal.
Also maybe I’m just too much a fan of the music but in the context of someone like Drake who could have Bs on the table idk how much the “worker” rhetoric really hits. Just because Hov doesn’t make music doesn’t mean he’s above it all, he’s still working with other companies like Live Nation for roc nation. S*** 4:44 is distributed by UMG he’s working for the same company as far as I can tell.
