Is this game worth getting into? Never played first one but been looking for a open world type game

The game's story and quest line isn't very new player friendly. It doesn't really define what is going on or what you need to be doing or how you got to that point.

Once you get the jist of the grind and start completing dungeons/raids, they are some of the most fun experiences.

Is the F2P a nice trial experience b4 I decide if I wanna buy the expansions?

Also are you able to pair up with randoms for the different raids/quests or premades only

The game does look amazing from the videos I’ve seen though, I’ve just heard it’s a grindy game and the last game I played like that was RuneScape forever ago

With strikes there's matchmaking. Strikes are like mini campaign missions.

With raids and dungeons there is no match making. I think it has to do with Raids and Dungeons being a big time investment.

Shaping weapons looks grindy as hell. I haven't even touched that s*** until now. The only new weopns I've used that has peaked my interest enough to shape it are the new void viest smg and suros pulse

Pit was a bit easier. Once you know the ball dupe glitch its as short as a strike.

I remember doing Prophecy and that was a pain in the ass first time.

Did all the raids that were being vaulted before they were.

Havent done a raid/dungeon since before Beyond light though. I am a solo player once more.
