    I came across this randomly as a nice little throwback and it had me thinking back to when myself along with many others felt like there was something different about ‘Mood Music’ compared to The Hills.

    People argued about it for years lmao, there was quite a lot of discourse and mixed opinions on whether it really was different, which version sounded better, etc. etc. It went on pretty conistently until Abel actually ended up confirming that suspicion in a Variety interview years later;

    “I premeired a demo at SXSW as a part of the rollout of BBTM. That version was called ‘Mood Music’”

    Anyway, hearing that SXSW version made me wanna relisten to the first preview of Prisoner when it was called ‘mood music 2’ just for nostalgia, and I can’t help but have that same feeling of “something is different”. Does anyone else hear it or am I tripping?

    I actually remember feeling this same way after BBTM released but I had forgot about it until now
