Was thinking about the rhyme style that became more popular during the late 2000s/early 2010s when rappers would say a sentence and end with a punchline/word somewhat related, like "I'm a star - sheriff badge" or even on Forever, "Come and find me - Nemo". Yes, I know the style existed in the 90s, like Big Pun saying "Snake bite - anaconda" on The Dream Shatterer.
Anyway, then I thought about Kanye's verse on Forever, specifically the McLovin' and Michelle's husband bar and I could hear it in Big Sean's cadence/flow. Wondering if Big Sean played a part in the verse? I know there are similar theories he helped write songs on Graduation, which was only a couple years prior.
Don't really care about ghostwriting or not, just curious.
who cares he’s ass and could never make anything close on his own
Whoa dere boy
everyone was doing hashtag rap at that time
but yes I agree that Ye’s verse and flow sounded Sean like
i always just figured Kanye was just trying to use the same flow Drake used on his verse, but Big Sean writing it wouldn’t be too far-fetched
who cares he’s ass and could never make anything close on his own
But the ye forever verse is notoriously trash
Verse is hard
Worst on the track by a large margin, should’ve been replaced by Hov in retrospect

There’s no evidence of a Reference Track of Kanye’s forever verse.
But yeah.. I really do think Sean had something to do with it. Sean revitalized and dubbed the #HASHTAGFLOW
did "big sean" ever move from ktt1 to ktt2
everyone was doing hashtag rap at that time

Sean revitalized it, then Drake, Wayne & Nicki, Kanye.
Ludacris started BACK using it but he hadn’t used it since like the beginning of his career at that point.. and his was honestly lame.
Edit: Tyga might’ve played a part in it as well but that time period he was grinding back onto the radio.

That beat wouldn’t work for Hov.
That beat wouldn’t work for Hov.
The beat don’t really work for anyone, so corny
Sean was writing a lot of Ye verses between 07-11 real ones know
Ye really a glorified milli vanilli
