Because 70% of his fanbase are the type to “cancel” left and right. They wouldn’t cancel their own. They’d find a way to justify it, probably by bringing race into it.
What did DaBaby’s girlfriend do?

DaBaby even broke up with her bc of it..
But then again, recently she was in the studio with Snoop Dogg for her Def Jam debut album. So maybe she will just survive.
Doja has been around for like a year and a half vs a dude who’s been established for over a decade
No cancel culture isn’t the reason she didn’t go #1 she’s just a new artist on her second album
Olivia had much less label push and less time (barely an established name) and she's competing with Doja for 2nd place in her 7th week vs Doja's 1st? Being around long doesn't guarantee the top spot it's about making better music and Doja is not consistent.
She is relative to Tyler
Aside from Olivia rodrigo which artists have had a debut project in 2019 or later and are moving more than 100k?
She been dropping since 2014, a lot has been deleted now, but quite a lot of people on here knew her through So High, which wasn't a hit or anything but well known to anyone who followed music. Breaking out later doesn't mean you are new.

Olivia rodrigo is literally like a once in a decade artist debut album wise
Think about how big Lorde was post royals and she only did like 70k in an era where pure sales weren’t dead
There’s no point setting Olivia rodrigo as the benchmark for success

The Eagles would be considered like the best band of all time and Alanis Morissette would be considered the best singer if sales necessarily indicated quality lol

it kinda does
Cause Tyler has been in the mainstream for a decade building up a fan base she’s only been mainstream since at earliest that cow song which was like 2018

Ok, shes still not new
Vanilla Ice was selling like hotcakes for a minute
Imagine if KTT existed back then lmaoo, s*** would be full of Vanilla Ice bandwagoners calling him the best thing in music
Yeah because Tyler's fanbase doesn't have as many soft people on Twitter who do that stupid cancel s***

Wouldn't be too far off from ktt when this guy was up

It's not about quality exactly. To put it simply I meant people won't come back after a flop or lackluster album. It's hard to explain but obviously people like Doja, 69, SGP, Trippie aren't going to just start selling 300k albums because they haven't built up an exceptional catalog like Post Malone or Travis who established themselves because they kept making great music consistently (even if you don't like them personally the majority does)
Doja is all over the place and her first album was nothing special. There was no reason for people to tune in.

Right, or this guy (sorry for the pic in advance).. only last year we had ppl on KTT cussing me out when I didn't agree that he's the "biggest artist in the world"

Wow 2020 seems so long ago

Fr lmaoo
KTT is on some other s*** tho, reading this forum alone one would think that Doja and Billie are huge failures who once had a chance to make it in music but are looking for a job in McDonalds.

Mack was good back then fite me
Doja writes terrible songs that no one respects. Tyler spent 8 years building his fanbase into a legitimate pop culture alternative. Doja wants to be accepted by the machine. Tyler is his own machine.

Decent rapper with terrible fans and even worse costume choices

Define a 'decent' rapper bc he had 0 memorable verses and bars, only carried his songs by being listenable enough until the chorus by a random singer comes in.

Stop being edgy
Thrift Shop has good lyrics
Same Love is corny but also good

Saying Macklemore is an extremely forgettable rapper is a popular opinion I'm not even being edgy. Truth be told I don't remember a single line from Thrift Shop, only the beat and the hook. Prime Cam'ron would've done that beat justice.
