This is a line from NLU by Kendrick Lamar that is to Drake hinting about J. Cole that I havent heard anyone expound on or even question š¤Ø
My personal theory since the Cole diss track months back was that I think Cole got gassed up by Drake since the way Cole raps on 7min Drill and how he went about it isnt like Cole at all and out of character. Thus leads Cole to apologizing after he comes down from the hype up.
I think their time together on the tour happening when Like That happened and all the social media talk, the OVO n Dreamvile crew hyped each other up - and i think Drake specifically hyped Cole up a lot to go out first, and then Drake would also hit Kendrick afterwards in a two piece tag hit. 7min Drill then a week later Push Ups & it would do a lot. Plus Drake is seen as being very calculated.
I think Drake planned on the Lightskin Duo to hit hard together at Kendrick, and then he finishes, but this plan fell apart with Cole apologizing. And Push Ups getting pushed back a bit (this song was in the rumor mill weeks before it dropped, and DJ Hed knew about it before it dropped he even tweeted about it before it debut).
šØ There is also word ever since the apology:
Not only by getting "punk'd" but probably due to the disappointment as well towards Cole backing out - leaving Drake by himself and the next move all up to him while the current plan is now destroyed.
I do think it is weird tho I havent heard any theories or info about that line from NLU, even posts on here, when pretty much everything else has been comb thru and thought on from Not Like Us
Anyways, what do yall think or perhaps heard. And does this mean Kendrick & Cole are still cool? š¤
My only counter to the rumors of Q is that if Q really did do something to Drake outside of a warning like Cole, then I think Drake might have wrote about it or allude to it in one of his diss tracks
7 minute drill wasnāt even 7 minutes
Nah he wrote it in 7 minutes to prove he couldnāt do it

For those wondering
The Q rumors of Cole n Drakw has been a thing talked and runored for months in CA
Ive only heard one non West Coaster talk about it tho, ironically enough it was Mal, who mentioned that he heard Q might have had a talk with Cole
I thought he said āthen call foulā the first time I heard it. Iām still not convinced thatās not what he says.
Drake kinda clowned Cole on Push Ups/Family Matters so I just assumed heās talking ab that

I thought he said They called foul
Had the same thought, just chalked it up to me tripping since no one else questioned it

Nigga Cole got punked by Hoovers that aināt have s*** to do with Drake šš and Cole my boy he shouldāve stood on business
Nah he wrote it in 7 minutes to prove he couldnāt do it
Was that actually the point of the song
Itās not a 7 minute drill song?
Not even a drill song and rumor has it it doesnāt even exist any more
Watch we find out Drake tried to f*** Coleās girl too.
Lil broken boy
If u wanna see how loyal ya girl is put her thru the drake test.
āGirl I got your record expunged from the canadian federal courtsā
Okay drake u got it
Itās possible but these guys in their late 30s. Cole should be able to think for himself and make his own decisions. This is the guy we need a certain level of intelligence to listen to?
Speaking as someone who enjoys Coleās latest album and his music in general
Schoolboy Q story has already been debunked.
Cole bowed out because social media was cooking him for 7 mid and he knew Kendrick was going to roast his discography to high hell.
If you thought the āIs TPAB actually overrrated?ā discourse that Cole sparked was something, oh man, just know niggas wouldāve been asking if Born Sinner was Corn Dinner had Kendrick responded to him.
Also, the line on NLU is in response to Drake saying āthat nigga Cole losing sleep on this it aināt meā on Family Matters
