This is a line from NLU by Kendrick Lamar that is to Drake hinting about J. Cole that I havent heard anyone expound on or even question 🤨

My personal theory since the Cole diss track months back was that I think Cole got gassed up by Drake since the way Cole raps on 7min Drill and how he went about it isnt like Cole at all and out of character. Thus leads Cole to apologizing after he comes down from the hype up.

I think their time together on the tour happening when Like That happened and all the social media talk, the OVO n Dreamvile crew hyped each other up - and i think Drake specifically hyped Cole up a lot to go out first, and then Drake would also hit Kendrick afterwards in a two piece tag hit. 7min Drill then a week later Push Ups & it would do a lot. Plus Drake is seen as being very calculated.

I think Drake planned on the Lightskin Duo to hit hard together at Kendrick, and then he finishes, but this plan fell apart with Cole apologizing. And Push Ups getting pushed back a bit (this song was in the rumor mill weeks before it dropped, and DJ Hed knew about it before it dropped he even tweeted about it before it debut).

🚨 There is also word ever since the apology:

• That Schoolboy Q punked Drake and warned JCole before Cole went on stage. Schoolboy Q was at the concert to perform for Coles Dreamvile, the same one Cole apologized at, & 7min Drill was released the other day before. So obviously Q wouldnt take light of that in general, but Cole is the homie at the end of the day so he gets a warning, while Drake gets a bit more than a warning. Which leads to the apology as well, AND leads to Drake leaving the concert before Cole gets on stage (which Drake leaving right before Coles set is true and confirmed).

Not only by getting "punk'd" but probably due to the disappointment as well towards Cole backing out - leaving Drake by himself and the next move all up to him while the current plan is now destroyed.

I do think it is weird tho I havent heard any theories or info about that line from NLU, even posts on here, when pretty much everything else has been comb thru and thought on from Not Like Us

My only counter to the rumors of Q is that if Q really did do something to Drake outside of a warning like Cole, then I think Drake might have wrote about it or allude to it in one of his diss tracks

Ive only heard one non West Coaster talk about it tho, ironically enough it was Mal, who mentioned that he heard Q might have had a talk with Cole

Cole bowed out because social media was cooking him for 7 mid and he knew Kendrick was going to roast his discography to high hell.

If you thought the “Is TPAB actually overrrated?” discourse that Cole sparked was something, oh man, just know niggas would’ve been asking if Born Sinner was Corn Dinner had Kendrick responded to him.

Also, the line on NLU is in response to Drake saying “that nigga Cole losing sleep on this it ain’t me” on Family Matters
