    Based off my recent article

The potential for a great album from the Beast Coast was glimmering

Though up against C-List rappers, he did hold his own throughout the Spring and Summer

All signs pointed to an album full of energy and title claiming

But then it dropped and it was

It felt lifeless and dry, to the point where the album title and cover is already aging like milk in a fridge after it was just bought from Shop Rite

So was Joey Badass really delusional and should this be a case study on what to do as a rapper of his caliber? Or Nah?

    Let me know brehs

There were a few really good ones like SWANK WHITE and UNDERWATER, but overall it tried to do too much while giving too little.

Joeys career trajectory post AABA hasn’t exactly been something to write home about anyway aside from winning the beef against the C List rappers.

    Yes

Also the song Hoe Era by Ray Vaughn was the best diss track out the bunch btw

Bruh fell off hard, been average for a while now tbh

Felt like I was in the twilight zone during that rap beef. Couldnt believe niggas was hyping bruh like that. ALL of the songs from that battle were mid. Not just his songs either lol

Used to rock with him heavy but it was quiet for him once the 90s revivalist s*** lost its novelty. His music is so bland now

feel like so many people pursue their opportunities outside of hip hop as soon as they get the chance instead of doubling down on what got them those opportunities and end up dropping duds when they do come back

it's tough tbh because he broke into acting ...

everybody not meant to be rappers

but rap is an easier way to beak into the door to everything else

Joey is a really talented rapper and i know it's not good to chart watch but there's a reason his billboard numbers slid when he jumped into acting. he could've been a legit star i feel even if he acting and was the face of paco rabanne recently

    Facts

Although in Mase's situation because a lot of it was about Diddy Diddying Diddiously, it makes more sense why he left
