We gotta stop saying people are "on" off one hit.
The people who are saying he hasn't fallen off, you think he could sell 40K if he puts out an album today?
He could do 60k max
unless you’re truly a hit maker or a really dynamic artist that’s versatile and not surface level, usually when these guys catch one, it’s intentional but it’s no guarantee that will happen again.
which is it’s important to truly study music and understand strong structure and melody writing and how to find topics so everything doesn’t become derivative. btw this post goes beyond tecca because i’m not judging his music. i just notice this in a lot of young artists.
if you’re gonna be a hit maker, that will require you to really learn how to write different types of hits. learn how to start and end a verse. learn how to make a pre-hook or a b section instead of just saying the same thing for 8 bars. throw in a bridge or a switch up so the song isn’t as boring. avoid using similar patterns or sounds from your first hit because you won’t catch lightening in a bottle twice. and usually you need to make the next record better than your breakout. this is just coming from a huge fan of music who has studied it out of intrigue of what makes a drake or kendrick who they are. and among these details, it’s just having the ability to pivot a little but still keep a constant output of good and interesting content.
was lil tecca ever "on" ? does he actually know anything about music, or make good music?
he is a pretty standard one hit wonder i would have thought.
nothing remotely special about his appearance, music etc. so why would a label continue to use resources on him
u aint have to hurt his feelings like that
didn’t he retire?
he had a CD release for his mixtape... with a STAPLED BOOKLET
do you understand how rare that s*** is nowadays?? nearly all artists getting a double sided piece of paper as their CDs front cover, a foldout if they're lucky, if they even get a CD release (or as of recent a 5 cent CDr). but Lil Tecca gets the full CD rollout like he's the king or some s***
with that sort of industry power behind him he'll be aight
One of the most generic out rn, he just got nice melodies. Plus he ugly as s***
pretty much, if music videos weren't a thing you wouldn't be able to distinguish him from a dozen other artists
it's borderline AI generated music; nice in the background and completely inoffensive but are you REALLY looking out for new lil tecca?
He didn’t disappear lol
People on this forum are seriously dense. Just because someone had a smash hit doesn’t mean they’re automatically Drake tier.
He dropped an album last year and is working on a follow up. Use google next time
Ransom was number 1 and most his songs on his last mixtape have 80 million plus plays on Spotify
Ransom wasnt a number 1 tho
Ban op before I have s***with him
Lmfao
