I’ve seen people on here say Kanye is the reason 50 Cent fell off in popularity, in addition to his decline in music, but was it actually The Game who took him out?
G-Unot movement did do some damage to them But mostly it was 50 putting out two mid albums in a row (Curtis + Before I Self Desutrct) and then focusing on other ventures.
50 found a new passion
I rememmber listening to Prodigy's audio book. He said Spider Loc spit all over Game's car
Honestly I don’t feel those disses killed 50’s career in terms of relevancy or popularity. Game definitely had better disses than everyone in G-Unit at the time and 300 Bars is legendary… but 50’s slope in music was because of the change in sound and direction in hip hop. Kanye outselling him was pretty much the confirmation of that.
No. 50 did it to himself burning bridges with everyone, includinng his own crew. Kanye was just the nail in the coffin.
50 also stopped getting support from Dre after he tried to compete with his own competitor line of headphones vs Beats that were in the works back then.

Game damaged 50 because he hurt G Unit's invincible/career killer image. Game was dropping disses, mixtapes, and documentaries(no pun intended) left and right against G Unit and 50 barely issued a response outside of that track off Bulletproof.
In 2006, Game still maintained his hot streak while G Unit was slowly on decline as evidenced by Bank's 2nd album flopping even with 50's features on it.
50 was in a tight position in 06 because Game was deemed a better gangster rapper than him, Wayne was doing mixtapes better than him, and Ye was putting out better crossover hits then him.
So, by 2007, 50 lost so many core fans who wanted to street s*** and casuals who wanted another "In Da Club" that he needed to Ye beef to bring him buzz for his next project.
Then, after, 50 just stopped caring about topping charts and moved into under ventures while dropping some music for his stans here and there.
The Game is widely considered a joke now and even tho he fell off musically 50 Cent is on Snoop’s level as a celebrity so who really won
Imo 50 woulda fell off regardless, I don’t think his style would age well as the hip hop climate started to change.
game had no impact on this, im sure he tells himself it was all him tho
50 stopped making the right music and just repeated the same formula. going up against someone as innovative as kanye exposed that

just because game was rising at the same time 50 was falling doesnt meant he had anything to do with it
all this disses game put out were attention grabs, put in the same category as all the name drop tracks he's dropped his whole career

wasn’t 50 dissing game all over mixtapes?
It was a combination of all of 50's enemies coming together
!https://youtu.be/PIuWKX07SOMGame secretly manipulated some kind of hiphop Sinister Six behind the scenes to take out 50 (and Spider-Man Loc)
Seriously though if anything the Game beef kept 50 artificially relevant for another 12 months due to all the drama and excitement attached to that back and forth
The day 50 dropped Game from G-Unit live on the air, only for Game to driveby the radio station was basically 50 putting his music career post-Massacre on some extra life support - everyone was watching to see what would happen next.
Once the Game beef started to simmer a bit in late '06 (in the sense that it became a constant back and forth of the same old same old), 50 had to try and switch lanes again with the Curtis era, which kind of backfired as the general public lost their fascination with gangster rap beefs.

Lmaoooo you clearly weren’t around.
Though 50 did also choose to sit back from music, to say Game did nothing outside of attention grabs is completely wrong.
I, myself was in high school during this time and I definitely was shouting g-unot. S*** was an actual movement.
