and lean has been influenced by dean for his other side projects which are in a similar vain as that song (jonatan leandoer stuff) and has also collaborated by him

but also sampling dave bixby seems like pretty direct influence so i def think calldrops had to be a ref for that song

• ASAP Rocky bit Death Grips (has a couple of noisy songs on Testing)
• Travis Scott bit ASAP Rocky, who bit Death Grips (makes psychedelic rap and is black just like ASAP Rocky...plus he works with Mike Dean who uses synths and makes hip hop production that black artists often use so he's obviously biting Death Grips too, and Kanye, and LL Cool J while we're at it because he worked with Rick Rubin and didn't rap over soul beats on his debut)
