They just believe it because he's famous. All they put credit in is a big name. Travis was hardly an integral part of the Yeezus sound when compared to people like Arca, Gesaffelstein, and Rick Rubin. But they will continue to live in their alternate reality, with no regard to logic and facts.
Regardless, he was a part of the process and creation of the album. Thats a fact you cannot strawman.
