    Yea you can submit music however you want through a lot of services

    It’s how people upload leaks under the official artists name

    Most get removed pretty quickly once they realize

    Sometimes they go up under the official artist name but very rarely - I’m guessing they have filters in place to only allow releases from major artists when they’ve signed off on it

    Sometimes they show up as features as well which makes them appear on the official artist page

    Technically you can just get paid through things like distrokid - I uploaded random sounds once and had friends stream it and we got paid before Spotify filters removed it for being fraudulent. Got to keep the money though

    He just probably wouldn’t get publishing which is the BMI stuff but publishing is very little especially for smaller artists

    Yes, he basically copied it all. But at the time (2017) H.E.R. was still a new upcoming artist and pretty anonymous, most people had no clue about her really so they just assumed it was actually planned and they were some couple. People were eating that s*** up and then she came online mad af saying he was ripping her off

    this def made her look goofy as hell to her label...
    You telling me, a whole nobody can make an album with the same sounds/aesthetic as you?...

    if I were a label I'd look at my artist funny, she def lost the golden child title after that stunt lol they bout to treat her career every which way and say

    "you know we can get H.I.M, T.H.E.Y, T.U, N.O.S.O.T.R.O.S, T.H.E.M,V.O.U.S to come in here and take your place right".
