Talk that s***, you are right on the money here

These people like pusha’s music because his connection to ye makes it “safer” to them, it’s so weird because really he’s not one of the rappers I would recommend to those nerdy artsy types

These the same people who lowkey see them as “Ye sidekicks” and will say some s*** like “pusha is good but he should try rapping about something besides coke” not realizing that it’s just not for them

It really is weird and I’ve never witnessed anything like it, the closest comparison would be Eminem fans accepting the whole aftermath universe but I think ye stans might be even worse with this

The way the fanbase flipped on cudi was crazy, let’s see if they do the same to pusha, that would be hilarious after all these years of holding Daytona up as an Illmatic tier masterpiece

    Nobody’s reading this bro lol

    Why you offended? I wonder

Go dive into the indie scene. Who cares who gets remembered in hip hop because you’ll be out of your hip hop phase in 2 years

I’m not mad at that assessment in itself, but what does it mean in the context of this thread when you lead with “they’re walking Ls for doing something that a Nazi might not like, who’s music is gonna last more?”

So because Ye’s music is going to be remembered more and is obviously a high tier legend, these less universal artists (but still pretty important to hip hop) have to show some kind of crazy loyalty to him that he doesn’t show back? I don’t get it

kanye gave pusha t and cudi so many opportunities and exposure to expand their career further and reach a bigger audience, and their whole bank accounts and net worth are handsomely rewarded as a result. i just think i would do less grimy s*** to someone who has helped me that much

Ye treated cudi like s*** multiple times first. being friends with someone who happens to start dating your other friend’s ex wife isn’t grimy. The friend who then puts you in a tough position about it and publicly throws you under the bus for it is the grimy one, that is INSANE behavior for anyone beyond the 8th grade. Plus Ye left cudi and Sean hanging when he got bored of running a label and that’s what initially caused bad blood

And for push, again he’s just hanging with someone, how is that grimy lol your friends or former co-workers can only hang with people you approve? That’s wild.

Push in particular stuck by Ye for as long as he could, both cudi and push were by his side through the trump era and slavery comments. At some point you can’t ride for someone just because they helped you 10 years ago, that doesn’t buy permanent blind loyalty

i feel u. i look at it like how trump freed kodak and wayne. no matter what trump does at that point, if i were kodak or wayne im riding for him

obviously jail is an extreme example and both pusha and cudi were successful artists on their own accord in the first place, but if i were either one i would know ye is unpredictable and crazy and accept it especially for all the good hes done for me

but i feel u. people dont like to put up w the craziness

I just realised that part of the reason why Kanye stans demand rappers be 100% loyal to Ye at all times is because a lot of them don't listen to hip-hop like that, only Kanye. As far as they're concerned hip-hop is worthless outside of Kanye's circle of producers and collaborators, once you leave that circle you are part of the rabble of 'non art rap' or whatever dogwhistle they want to use and you are dead to them.

They put up with a lot. I feel you on the loyalty thing but at the same time it’s a classic narcissist/sociopath technique to be on some “after all I did for you!” s*** and help someone just to hold it over their head and use it to exonerate you from being wrong in any situation. So it can be a slippery slope

The way some ye fans be doing that makes me worried about how they treat their real life relationships

First offense of what? Hanging with someone daddy ye doesn’t like while he has a breakdown and wants to promote his stem player? I’m not sure

But I do know ye originally made his relationships with the GOOD artists weird when he stopped caring about the label after 2012 and blew them off. Mainly Sean and cudi who both said this
