Yep cant get up without permission either had to stay until everyone was done
Was this to force family time? when I did have to eat at the table as soon as I finished they let me go
rarely
This is why I love ramadhan
Everybody looking forward to eat at the same time, theres more effort put into the food than usual. The homely vibe and bonding comes naturally

Because my mom cooked good food and its to appreciate her efforts
Yes. We always did that for years.
I'd take my pills before heading downstairs, get my plate, and have a seat with my mother, father, and two younger brothers at the table. We'd have very lively conversations.
This happened until one day I was alone at the table.
There was no food.
There were no relatives.
No life.
My prescription had expired the day prior and I couldn't get more.
I don't know where they all went or why we stopped seeing each other.
"hello darkness, my old friend...."
Nah never in my life except for ramadan
Crazy thing i love my family theyre my best friends but that s*** kinda corny ngl
Once a week we did a dinner table meal but rest of the time it was in front of the TV
I think it just sucks to eat in front of the TV or watch TV in general and we should've eaten together more
Once my parents started up small business they were never home to eat dinner as there always busy
Maybe like every Sunday we have a sit down meal but honestly eating is a chore to fuel your body not a time to socialize and gather with other people at certain times
Never ate at the dinner table.
Mostly because the places where I lived were too small to have room for one.
we slowly transfered to in front of the tv together to watch home and away
Fr tho we be watching jeapordy and vlogs
Tragedy hearing that intro after the Simpsons
Lol talking about the local evenin news?
I eat under the table, man I wish I was allowed eat the good food at the table like the rest of my family
After I was 14 I'd just grab my food and go on the computer/tv/handheld console
Y’all were allowed to watch tv and stuff? I literally had to sit there and talk with my sibling. Which wasn’t all that bad but between them and some toons. Give me the tv
This is why I love ramadhan

In predominantly Muslim countries it’s even more magical
