but is there something wrong? some moms and dads work a lifetime just to send their kids to college. its their dream to see their child graduate
You’re f***ed lmaoo
It’s not that hard to pay off. I’d recommend him paying off during school and grace period. 20k is quick payoff

20k is nothing lol thats average and can be paid off pretty easily if smart

Nothing wrong w it from the parents perspective but tbh I feel like it makes kids entitled
btw the experiences detailed here are def not the reality for everyone or even show a trend. i dont know many people who pay on their own outside of my gf (big scholarship) and that includes friends at other schools and what ik about the students that go there. my schools tuition is massive no one here can pay that s***.
with fafsa and scholarships, and getting most of room off being an RA i still need help lol.
parents raise kids a lot of the time knowing, preparing and expecting to help pay. doesn't mean anything a lot of the time outside the fact esp US colleges are mad expensive and most people at age 18-22 aren't equipped to do that on their own. if you were able to on your own thats a f***ing great job but its not a remote reality for everyone
Damn y’all parents trash
Yes
My parents are great they just can’t afford to pay for my college

I feel it
Moms got a great job so that helped a lot
Yup they covered what my scholarships didn’t cover. Very privileged and very thankful.
Would have gone military if they didn’t though.
Also it should be said that parents allowing their kids to take out ridiculous loans to cover college are incredibly irresponsible and while schools and banks should get most of the blame for the debt crisis parents should be held accountable too.
