"The lawsuit accuses Burgess, Mitchell and NewsNation of deliberately fabricating and amplifying false claims about Diddy for financial gain. Burgess appeared on NewNation's Banfield show in November of 2024 and claimed he'd seen eight of Diddy's alleged freak off tapes, which Burgess claimed included unnamed celebrity minors.

Burgess also testified before the Combs grand jury in the Southern District of New York last November. Diddy is seeking punitive and monetary damages.

Diddy's attorney, Erica Wolff, has released the following statement to XXL about the new lawsuit: “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is taking a stand against the malicious falsehoods that have been fabricated and amplified by individuals seeking to profit at his expense.

These defendants have willfully fabricated and disseminated outrageous lies with reckless disregard for the truth. Their falsehoods have poisoned public perception and contaminated the jury pool. This complaint should serve as a warning that such intentional falsehoods, which undermine Mr. Combs’s right to a fair trial, will no longer be tolerated.”
