I almost always push for rehabilitation to be the focus rather than keeping someone locked up forever even when my gut feeling makes me hate the person because I prefer being consistent

But for people like this with the resources and power to just immediately start doing terrible things again it's dangerous and he has had the resources to get any help in the world he possibly could have needed so it's a hard argument to make

He definitely deserves punishment but I would hope that if he ever got out it was at least productive somehow as well
