I just rewatched the first. I only remember liking the second and not seeing the 4th.
First was better than I remember, which is funny, I never realized it was the worst rated of the 4 lol.

Yeah it's wild people say the first is bad but the ending alone makes it the best for me.
Also love that it's just a regular family fighting it out ya know?.
The later films I feel focus on it being badass survivors.

I definitely think The Purge movies is one of the better ideas to come to horror, that's imo, not executed as well as it could be.
Like the first had so many creepy elements to it that the second one was missing to make it awesome. Still good though

Purge is like SAW first film is so distant from the rest and the franchise becomes focused on body counts.
SAW goes from a thriller to torture p*** and Purge goes from home invasion to all out war.

It’s because they set it up as “all crime is legal” so with the first people expected niggas to be out in the open tryna survive the night and getting into illegal s***. But instead it was a family “safe” inside they house and then niggas tryna break in.
