Johnny Gosch, 12, went out on his paper run on September 5, 1982 and still hasn't been found. The story is most famous for being the first "Missing Persons" to be featured on the back of a milk carton.

The official narrative of his disappearance is heavily disputed by his mother Noreen Gosch to this day. Many say they saw a man asking for directions from the paper boys, around the time Johnny would've been outside. The local police department marked it as a runaway. A second paper boy went missing not too long after this.

Despite the lack of police help, Noreen stayed on the case and her claim is that her son was kidnapped by a highly organized group, sold into a child prostitution ring (human trafficking). Many details back this theory up and it's honestly just a crazy ass story, real or not. I recommend the documentary "Who Took Johnny" if you want more info.
