Aside from Stranger Things and possibly The Witcher, Netflix has become background content

Only reason I still have it is because it’s my parents

Netflix is losing so much content that used to go through them , office leaving too , fox content. Their original content will have to carry a lot

if you really think Stranger Things is what you should be most hyped about on Netflix, Disney+ sounds right up your alley man

I find HBO to have more compelling content overall

But if you have recommendations please give me some

I finished Easy, finished End of the F***ing World, finished most of the Marvel stuff. All of that stuff isn’t coming back

Also I’m adding S***Education to that list of things to look forward to

Yeah getting Nickelodeon and Seinfeld was clutch tho

Been trying to binge Seinfeld before it leaves Hulu

Disney + strength is on legacy content . As in nostalgia but you could just watch all of what you want to watch and be good in first few months . The newer content alone isn’t worth subscription or could easily pirate . Will come down to if their drops of new shows become a moment . Especially since they are doing week by week content

I'm not one for the nostalgia s*** but waking up to watch that's so raven in 2019 gave me a chub. But they got the Lucas edits on the orig trig man.....

I think their first real test is going to be Falcon & Winter Soldier. Cause beyond Mandalorian I think the service I going to be stagnant until the MCU content drops

Even the Mcu content though it’s feeding into less avengers movies so it doesn’t have that immediacy to see . Depends if they go for major plot points in tv show or if it’s truly good . Either way I feel like this streaming war will actually come down to original fresh content . Although nostalgia and streaming old shows would help all services some

I haven’t gotten around to Witcher yet.... but even without seeing it and seeing all of ST’s.... you could argue Ozark is better than both

Nah idk.... but Ozark is a GREAT show and you’re doing yourself a disservice by not watching it

TBH I can't see myself subbing to this until the Marvel shows roll around and more SW shows. I really couldn't give a s*** about Disney's backlog even though Lion King and A Bug's Life are classics

Tons of great shows... now not all of them are must watch special TV shows... but there’s a few... Stranger Things, Ozark, Black Mirror, OITNB, S***Education.... I would say those are must watch shows for any TV fan

Facts. Not to mention the movies. Hard to argue another service has better original horror movies than Netflix.

Its debatable in 5-10 years Netflix will still be a massive platform, not really debatable at all they don't have a f*** ton of solid original content.

they still have a close deal with Comcast/Universal & Viacom even though the Office is leaving

but yeah some Viacom & Comcast/Universal stuff and their stuff is all that's gonna be on there soon enough

also when CBS merges with Viacom again I imagine they'll stop making so many Netflix deals cause CBS has its own streaming platform

Disney + would be near the bottom of my preferred streaming platforms

I don’t even think you can compare Netflix and Disney + unless you were only comparing Netflix kids section.

D+ will be its own thing, theres enough room in the streaming landscape for all of them to co exist

Giving it the benefit of the doubt... between the actors involved, the hype behind it, the fact they already shot season 2 before season 1 even airs lol.... I think it’s safe to assume it’s gonna be a pretty good show
