House numbers do big numbers ? Didn’t Bieber do like 154k the last project ? Ppl always talk about pop stars doing big numbers but I barely see them sell over 300k , take a Taylor Swift out the conversation she’s a legend.
im being sarcastic lol
Album is pretty good once u get over the awkward singing style Drake has
I also don't love some of the production or his voice but on certain tracks he strikes gold
he def commercially flopped pretty badly.
Anyone saying it's a dance album as a good reason why it flopped are bugging. He's still got all of the playlist placements and attention he would've gotten if it was a rap record. Ak talking about Rap Caviar... go to the Rap Caviar playlist rn and tell me who the cover is lmao

When MJ went to baseball you wouldn’t expect him to do the same numbers, stop embarrassing yourself
This is house music not dancehall
But point still stands
Wait y’all in here saying this is house ?!
This album proves who only listens to rap and doesn’t go outside man. It’s bare funny how people be admitting they ain’t got a social life
i open this thread and some b**** outside my window just laughed like a chipmunk

You literally called it DANCEHALL lmao???
It's a flop.
And a reminder that no one, not even Drake in 2022 can move units without a proper rollout.
This album wasn't really intended to move units though. CLB had billboards announcing features, months notice, etc. this was a dance record dropped on 4 hours notice.
It's a flop.

imma have to disagree respectfully. drake has reached a level where he doesn't need promo its been like that since 2016. people just didnt like the music. If CLB was a surprise drop it wouldve done the same 600k

Yeah there's nothing that supports this though.
All of his true random drops with no singles, no notice beforehand, sell around this much.
If You're Reading This, Dark Lane, and Honestly NVM all were true surprise drops and only If you're reading this did well but that was 1) a hip-hop joint and 2) the record climate is not even remotely the same.
It's a flop.

True

I seen so many people like "it's an album of 12 Passionfruits". Lets me know whose opinion I can instantly ignore cause nothing on the album sounds like Passionfruit at all. Like Get It Together is literally two tracks away and a hundred times closer to the sound of HN
Ak is speaking simple facts. Everything he said was absolutely true and should be paid attention to.
This damn sure ain’t house
It's not house in the european-centric, sense, but house as in afro-house (see Black Coffee, one of the executive producers, discography). It's hardly dancehall, but has island riddims mixed in throughout several instrumentals in the album.
