Let’s be real he doesn’t rap over many mind blowing beats anymore
I’d rather him work with someone he flows with like OZ and 40 over people who just gonna give him a beat they think is fire that could be hit or miss
He should. A lot of these niggas products are getting carried by production. Which is why KanYe can drop whatever and it doesn’t matter what the content is cus the beats on point lol.
Uzi kinda did this with EA too
So, because he doesn't rap over mind-blowing beats anymore, he should just stick to generic-ass beats for the rest of his career? He's the biggest rapper in the world with access to the most talented producers. There's absolutely no reason why he shouldn't be rapping over basic-ass production.
What beats would you like to hear him on?!

And no one has revisited EA or Wash Us In The Blood either
It's good, but again, it's basic. Toosie Slide beat is basic. Life Is Good beat is basic. Greece beat is basic. So on and so forth. Drake is the one who takes those beats and makes something special out of them.
I think it's the drums tbh, that could be more ambitious. Vital is definitely the direction I would want Drake to go , at least on some songs
40's beats were minimal too, he said Drake actually looks for the spaces between the beats
40's beats were mostly minimal but they had character to them. It was more than just high-hats, snares and kicks and after a while, that particular production style got dated because Drake overused it and people started to notice. It's not a mistake he's worked with more and more producers since Take Care.
Even this is wrong. Give examples of these "hits" you speak of.
Hold on were going home
One dance
Fake love

I’m sure the album production will be great, it always is
Besides rushed Scorpion mixes
What beats would you like to hear him on?!
Beats that have more character. Beats that challenge him. Beats that aren't bland and basic as hell.

Exactly my point, I’ve stated this several times & got crucified
Ever since Views, Drake has been recycling the same song formulas with addition of a few new sounds
Which is crazy because his experimental tracks are always his well received songs
Beats that have more character. Beats that challenge him. Beats that aren't bland and basic as hell.
Oh I understand fam be specific tho like examples cause I’m with you I need him on some Dj dahi type just blaze beats
I’m sure the album production will be great, it always is

I'm sure as well. The strength Drake has is he can create magic from very simply production. A lot of rappers can't do that. I just believe as great as Drake's songs are, they would be 500 times better if they were over better beats.
I loathe DJ Vlad, but he's brought up that point a bunch of times and I agree with him. He's mentioned that Drake mostly raps over bland or basic beats and it's true. Many people just don't notice or care because the songs are usually great, but when they aren't, you notice just how wack the production he's working with is.

DJ Dahi gave him a great beat with Worst Behavior, which is why it was a standout track. Drake did something on that song he hasn't done since then. Lord Knows is also great. Just Blaze is always good money. Justice League also has classic beats. That's the one thing that helps Rick Ross. He has an INCREDIBLE ear for beats. Just listen to Aston Martin Music. Classic, timeless Justice League beat. I need more of that from Drake.
It can be whoever. Maybe even some producer we don't know. It just needs to be fresh.
For some recent examples, I thought the beats for Demons and War were really dope. Hard-ass beats that forced Drake to rap harder than he usually does. Stuff like that.
Hold on were going home
One dance
Fake love
Hold On, We're Going Home is the only example of that. Only thing he took from One Dance was the hook Wizkid did. Verses are all him. Production was handled by his producers. Adding Kyla was his idea. Same with Fake Love. Brittany Hazzard only penned the hook of the song. So, basically, you have 1 example?
Is interesting who you want drake to work with?!
I think every in house OVO producer is better than Oz but I don’t mind his production and for whatever reason Drake’s gravitated towards him. I personally wanna see more 1985, that man is an absolute gem.
And I would give a left kidney to hear Drake over more Jake Uno and DJ Dahi production.
TOMORROW
Not tomorrow because over 28 hours left to go. It drops 12AM on Friday.
Facts. He’s gotta be the top producer in the world right now
Every time it's "prod by Oz" I've had full confidence in the song. His and Drake's chemistry is great.
Oh I understand fam be specific tho like examples cause I’m with you I need him on some Dj dahi type just blaze beats
HOWGH, Worst Behavior, Tuscan Leather, PMM2, Energy, Jungle, Fancy, etc
My biggest issue is ever since Views, he has been picking the same minimalistic 40 type of beats for his introspective tracks
Weston Road Flows, When to Say When, Gold Roses, Loses & Emotionless sound bland af
Charged Up, 30 for 30, Is there more & Lose You recycle the same style/production formula
Hold On, We're Going Home is the only example of that. Only thing he took from One Dance was the hook Wizkid did. Verses are all him. Production was handled by his producers. So exactly what I said lmao
The skeleton is there
I'm feeling it's a rap record but I'm down for whatever, I know he's not going to miss either way
This. Positive vibes >>>
