But the less calories you eat the less money you spend on food

It makes more sense financially to eat less calories if you are fat and poor.

at some level this is true which is why people in the most extreme poverty ARE often skinnier

but there's a lot of ppl who can afford dinner everyday just its not rly great food, its fast food, cheap food, tv dinners etc

also tbf a healthy diet and being healthy is more than just weight - not in a "obese ppl are healthy" way, but in the sense that u can be in ur calorie goals daily but if ur doing it w mcdonalds everyday thats still not good for u (ik a bit off topic from our convo but its relevant imo)

maybe poor people are more depressed so they eat more junk?

Getting your calorie goals daily with mcdonald never works because you wont feel satiated and end up over shooting..2300 calories of real food is way more volume than a burger n fries n a shake

yea i do think ur first line plays a part too, a lot of ppl eat for comfort it was def a big problem i had. and obv the poorer u are the more likely u need comfort

also i def agree w ur second paragraph. not that it never works but its def much tougher. the foods are also so much more calorie dense like u said

doesn't matter if u still hungry but can't afford more tho

america got 3 fast food joints on every corner for half the price healthy food goes for. again this isn't to say you can't be healthy while poor or that you can't lose weight while poor or that it's an excuse. but the less money you have, it's definitely harder to manage your health generally, weight and otherwise.

look into food deserts, this is a real thing: https://www.aecf.org/blog/exploring-americas-food-deserts

then it sounds like its a food culture problem
im from europe, capitalism sure didnt get us fat

i mean, look - sure, the modern way of life def doesnt do us any favors when it comes to dieting and exercising, but as someone who has been working nonstop since i was 19 and in university just to support my parents who were in retirement and poor, while also having the genetic propensity for obesity - i was easily able to stay fit just by being mindful of my caloric intake and with the occasional exercise, even after getting a daughter while working a job and doing some side hustles

it really doesnt take much more than that and it really isnt helpful to blame an entire socioeconomic system for your obesity

Celebrities be getting weight loss injections and pretending they put in the work just to trick the working class into thinking they are just too lazy and not distracted and exhausted by capitalism

Reddit “eat the rich” tier post

  • younes

bullying fat people is more effective to make them take their health more seriously than encouraging and embracing obesity

How posts like these don’t produce bans I’ll have no clue

Dude it's easy to lose weight just eat the same s*** everyday you dont need to be a rich celebrity, pay for d**** or put in any work at all

Eating the same s*** everyday is actually less work than eating different s*** every day

Don’t tell me that, tell the thousands of people that get injections/procedures
