Yeah his last two still had gems.

But imo overall thats just his victory lap albums. After Year of the Dog he took a long break basically retirement, but all 6 albums still did amazingly well.

Almost no 90s acts lasted well into the 2010s, but his legacy, respect & run is legendary & always there.

True, he does have it in him still overall & does show it off from time to time still to this day. Just the last two years leading up to his newest album that was suppose to come out, he had some great feats n loosies.

I hope now Swizz is somehow able to release that modern track of DMX, Jay Z, Nas & Jadakiss from around iirc the MCHG era.

Idk “sober” is def different depending on each person. some people never touch a drop of LQ in their lives after quittinf whatever they were hooked on, then u got guys like Scott Storch who blew his whole career on coke but now smokes a mountain of weed everyday and seems to be doing fine

nah you're not wrong. it didn't help. but him and N.O.R.E have a good relationship outside of music / entertainment, so I can understand him just slipping into friend mode. by all accounts X seemed to be genuinely moving past his addiction and living better, recently got engaged and everything. He was actually there with a lot of his family members that day, they just weren't on screen.
