X is an absolute legend, been a fan since day 1, I just hope the album he was working on does him justice and is released how he envisioned it and not butchered by the label. He was clean and in a good place so I’m hoping it does justice to his legacy... but even if it’s trash or never sees the light of day DMX is a legend and an icon and one of the rawest ever and if it’s heading the way it looks to be he’ll be sorely missed

i assumed if he was pretty much brain dead it wouldnt have taken a few days for them to run some tests to confirm that.

which led me to believe there was something that they were seeing that he was going to make it, or at least had a chance to survive.

If he's brain dead, he's at peace. It's a double edged sword cuz on the one hand I want him to be at peace, but on the other, it means we lost another GOAT.

The initial reports were that he was 'brain dead' but later it seems to have changed to 'minimal brain activity' - which apparently hasn't improved

I'm assuming they like to just leave it as long as possible to see if there's any improvements at all before making a decision. In cases like this there's no rush I guess because there's just not much that can be done to fix it
