it’s something special. Texturally, I’m not sure there’s anything else quite like it. I’m not gonna lie. When I first heard it, it was pretty jarring to me. Earl has made a conscious effort to not make himself nor his music as easily digestible as his previous work and as a fan of that work, this certainly took some adjusting. However, after numerous listens, I can no longer deny its genius. Sonically, The album sounds like it was printed on a coffee stained newspaper Earl, despite the cryptics, is probably at his most honest and relatable and I’ve come to appreciate the intention here to sort of create a new language for expressing himself in this form. I’m excited to see how he continues to evolve in this way.
yeah I don’t want him to change a thing production wise, I even loved feet of clay. I just want him to be louder on his own tracks more often like ion rap beef, newearlsweartshirt and really doe.
One of those rare albums that grew on me.
I thought it was trash at first but one day it clicked.
Earl is one of the best rappers out

Once it clicks man
It’s really a beautiful record 4real
Like it’s been a long time since I’ve had to genuinely pay attention to what a nigga was saying on a record lol and Earl sort of forces you to do that on this album and when you really dig in, man, some of this stuff is just genuinely incredible. It’s weird because at first, it feels super cryptic lyrically but upon further investigation, you realize that he was just being so incredibly straight forward that you almost missed what he was saying completely lol
