    It’s extremely unlikely

EVERYONE knows Elvis. Even kids in high school that never heard a song of his know who he is and even his appearance.

Tons of people don’t know who Future is

doesn’t matter that’s not how time works

if a kid in high school knows of elvis and listens to future

in ten years he’s not gonna remember elvis more than future

    tht literally doesn’t matter lmao

my point is u can’t say where future is gonna go years from now

if u are comparing right now yes future is more known than elvis
who is more relevant rn future
the only thing elvis has legacy and futures isn’t over

Obviously nobody knows where s*** is gonna be 50 years but I don’t think it’s outrageous to think Future won’t be remembered on the level that Elvis is.

Future been in the game 10 years plus and hasn’t even headlined his biggest tour

    Like there’s levels to this

The point is Elvis transcends genres. Even people that listen strictly to rap music know who he is.

People that don’t listen to rap at all won’t know who Future is and that will stay like that.

Future is one of my favorite artists but he isn’t Eminem or Jay-Z or someone like that.

elvis does that because of the white media pushing that if i can wear my dr uman hat real quick

and more and more people are listening to rap each year it’s the most popular genre and it’s not slowing down when the non rap people die what’s left ?

I don’t even know a single Elvis song yet I know who he was, how he died, s*** I even know he had a fat era lol.

Regardless of what you or I think about him he transcended music and culture. Future hasn’t Come close to that.

Take future out ur statement and replace with a Drake, Hov, Kanye, bey, etc and is probably agree

    It's a meme like future

Future was relevant longer then Elvis

    Whole decade

pretty sure Elvis had hits in three different decades when he was alive lol

No they're just young and want their era's faves to be "GOATs". Happens in sports too. Todays gen wants Lebron to be the GOAT cause thats who they grew up on. Floyd Mayweather, same thing. Next generation will swear their favorites were the best/biggest.

KTT kids love comparing streaming numbers with pre streaming numbers as if it means anything

I grew up with lebron but I think MJ is the goat

nah the whole way this question is stated “do rap fans “ is kind of looking down on rap but my overall point was in anyway u classify bigger rn future is that... unless ur talking about name Recognition in which elvis has him beat but in 60 years more people will know future that’s a given based on how time works

those ppl u mentioned are a given imo

This is a perfect comparison imo. As I was watching the last dance I kinda realized damn the NBA rules were completely different in the 90s. Detroit Pistons getting in complete fistfights every 5 min and get a foul rather than a 10 game suspension S*** like that makes it hard to compare lebron and MJ cus they was playing 2 different games. Not unlike the way Billboard counting rules have changed

sadly Elvis is synonymous with 50s rock n roll and made a lot of movies. I don't really like his music either but he's a giant of pop culture and one of the most well known rock stars ever.

To be fair Future could be bigger than Elvis

The population was much smaller & music was less accessible

Elvis just has a really big legacy & impact by being credited as the “ pioneer “ of the Rock genre even though he stole his stuff from black peoples

I'm good. I'm not into music history. If i like something I like something, old or new. But I can't say I've heard a Elvis song in public or in a movie. If I did, it didn't stick because I didn't like it

Not a chance, Elvis was so big he was the main star in Hollywood films and could barely act. Man was far larger, this is why numbers lie.

Nah it doesn’t work like that. It’s not some linear equation. Some artists get left behind and Some stay. Those that’s stay are the ones who transcended music. Future hasn’t done that. By your logic niggas will have forgotten about Mike too and future will be known more than him.

    Elvis was white

  • Literally who cares though. It was a different world back then and sources of entertainment were limited. So I assume that's why stars were bigger back then. We have all this entertainment at our hands now and Future is still on top
