I don’t really understand rap so I can’t say if it’s good or bad in itself.

I honestly don’t think what music you listen to puts you in a certain bracket in a cultural context i.e Bordieu’s theories about ‘high and low’ for example; because most people use music (or art in general) as escapism so I understand there is a certain pragmatism to the approach.

I’m a fan of music not just rap/hip hop

Some of the runs I think are the best are

Jimi Hendrix Experience (three flawless albums also very influential too),
Radiohead (minus their first album and you’ve got a flawless discography),
Kanye West (self explanatory on this website),
Daft Punk (only one of their albums is a 7.5-8 the others are all 9-10 even have one of the highest rated live albums of all time),
And then
Michael Jackson (not as solid as the others I mentioned but still worth mentioning).

Agreed except I disagree with the Wall being rough but, yes he does. Pink Floyd have some albums that came out later when the band wasn’t together anymore and they’re all right but yeah.
