Basically AI technology has reached the point where it can easily generate faces that look like real people. These fake people can be bought and used for whatever purpose (e.g. fake social media profiles). Choosing different values like age, gender, race, even eye shape can alter the image completely but still have it look like a real person.
The tech isn’t 100% perfect yet. Sometimes there’s glitches with accessories (earrings or the arms of glasses not matching), facial symmetry, and just odd errors. Blurred backgrounds are also a dead giveaway, but to the untrained eye its almost indistinguishable.
Crazy to think how far this tech has come. Stuff like this and deep fakes are gonna be a problem in the near future if it isn’t already.
Why is this even being developed? Don't see how this will be used for good in any way

Humanity has an obsession with depicting the human form

My guess is there’s a lot of money to be made giving this tech to the highest bidder
I swear there’s a new thread on this every week
What if the AI itself is posting
I’m just saying, S has sent two pics before and they were both “him” but different looking people
The AI is already HERE guys, wake up
Wait until y’all find out it’s a bot using this account
I already see this inflating problems. What would be the adverse effects of generating fake people?
