It's easier to succeed when you have no morals getting in your way.

I'd call that a failure of morals

You could say that, but you could also argue that morals were made to keep the naive and self-righteous in line. If you think about it most of the most successful people in this life has sacrificed morals for success.

But at the same time values and morals can be a driving force.
Money wise they're a hindrance 'tho, not saying there's no good people succeeding, but this world works through different parties having different interests, if you have less morals you'll have more options available, since you'll be limiting yourself with moral standards else.

F.E. some international companies (f.e. Glencore) make money of cobalt mines in the congos, even though they know that children are working there for almost no money (they will say tho it's 'jobs they're creating'). If you've had morals as a company you'd say no to such deals (or investing in them), care for fair working conditions/sufficient salary (or demand it from sub-companies), so the adults that work there wouldn't need to send their kids to the mines (because their income alone is not enough), you'd probably even try to pressure the corrupt government into raising the tax money (but why would you want to pay more taxes) they're getting from you and reinvest it into the education of said children (instead of pocketing it) OR you go about your daily business and abuse the situation to have a bigger margin, thus making more profit.

It's not something I really have to think about. It's just logic. Moral people have more that keep them from doing certain things whereas people with no morals find it easy to do those things without a second thought.

If you don't have morals you'll have no issue laying off 1000 workers in order to put robots in your factories that are 100x more efficient and raise your profit margin exponentially.

    Things like that.

This is a hypothetical right? But even so like I said it depends what you call success. This is not success in my eyes

Success is obviously something that can be looked at subjectively but I think when most people think of success they think of either money, love, or large humane goal

  • No. You need to understand and be comfortable with moral grey areas. You need to understand that nobody in this world is more important than you and your family. You need to understand that some people are meant to fail.

I guess you could just chalk it up to subjectivity cause a person with a strong moral compass wouldn't even have the same definition of success as the guy with no morals so

I still feel like it's easier to make any decision without morals. Lack of morals doesn't necessarily making EVIL decisions, I just think you would find it easier to do anything without having to question whether it fits your morals before doing it

Create your own level of success. Know what you actually want out of life. Yes, get your basics down like owning a car, or whatever but mostly work towards building a life that makes you want to wake up to everyday. You don't need to do anything negative to do that
