A lot of white people still reflexively hate on rappers tbh.
And I find that really weird when people make comments like " rap ain't music " " they got no skill" " it's stupid "
High-key racist very often
Yea @Undecided whats the deal?
I've always thought he was whack from the get go, but that's just me.
Never liked hit style, but could see why some people gravitate towards him.
I mean check the comments and see for yourself
Clickbait smh. I scrolled down a lot and saw 0 Young Thug hate comments
Clickbait smh. I scrolled down a lot and saw 0 Young Thug hate comments
That's the thing they don't even mention him
Every time he's on a song with a singer he's NEVER mentioned positively.
probably because he's not catering to Pop audiences lyrically or with his melodies.
I mean check the comments and see for yourself
Jesus. Thug on Heatstroke is one of his best songs though.
I remember radio cutting him off from the Havana collab and also heard them play Go Crazy without Thug lol
Wtf
The Go crazy one don't even make sense too. That's wild
“Music is like candy; it's better without the rappers.”
Saw this corny ass s*** in a comment section for a song before
Granted the rapper in that joint was ass anyways but it tells you a lot
They learn about rap from Faux News. Wouldn't expect anything else
white people hate/fear black ppl that dont fit the mold
that dont "look" black, "sound" black etc... they have their own construction of black, and if u match, theyll welcome u
if not, ur not really black
ur not really rap, or "real" rap
not all think like this ofc lmao
Wtf
The Go crazy one don't even make sense too. That's wild
Yeah bro let's just believe ktt user Zack from the six
A lot of white people still reflexively hate on rappers tbh.
because its a genre by black people that is now very influential in music and fashion
plus todays superstars have been rappers for quite awhile too
so ofc theyll condemn it
unless its "real rap" and thats the only possible way they could claim some power over the genre
allowing a few hip hop acts in their "white world" so they can push any other white rapper that sounds alike
cause everyone knows, there aint gonna be a white dude rapping like Young Thug with the same topics
But rapping somewhat like Tupac is easier ofc
youll know their vocab never really gets further than "real rap" lol
white ppl over here even ask me if i could make more "white real rap" so they could "relate" better
am just looking like nah i dont need advice from white ppl on how i should make black music bruh
its their way of saying;
ur/its not white enough, therefor we cant like it or appreciate it enough
Esp 'mumble' rappers
yeah and those same ppl forgot "scatting" exists
"bee ba ba barobop" wasnt a white dude singing that smash hit?
black ppl only get the box
they get the house and institutions :(
I noticed Southern rap in general doesn't translate well in Europe.
Even Lil Wayne had ignorant Europeans writing him off as a "mumble rapper" at one point.
Europeans love Kanye, Eminem, boom bap, G Funk, Drill and underground rap the most.
Yea @Undecided whats the deal?
As part of the white delegation, no we do not hate him.
