Like I would never see a homeless person with a pet and try to take their pet or do the most on social media. Like how deep is it when you see a homeless person with a dog and care more about the dog?

Or if someone isn’t comfortable around dogs, try to minimize how they’re feeling because you want your dog around. I could go on and on but humans are weird when it come to animals. I’ll never treat them better or less than my fellow humans.

neither would 99% of people who aren’t peta freaks lmao what is this post

Was a viral video of a homeless man sleeping and he had a dog on a leash beside him and people were begging the person who recorded the video to save the dog.

“What is this post” like this isn’t reality. Niggas on the first page even co-signing placing more value on animals than humans.

You know, that first paragraph is a great point. I will admit, when I see a homeless person with a dog my heart immediately feels more for the dog, which is just sad. I think it’s because dogs have no control over the situation they’re in, we as humans all have choices in life, so that’s why I automatically feel more sorry for the dog, but idk it’s a deep topic & i dont wanna say the wrong thing.

Don’t take this the wrong way though, I still lend a few dollars to homeless ppl whenever I can. You make great points

Theres levels to it! Obviously the situations u listed are s***ty things to do. If someone is scared of ur animal, u cage it or put it in a different room, and both the dog and the homeless person needs help.

yes most people will walk past a homeless man and a dog and think “poor dog” that’s just life

no most people will not try to steal the man’s dog from him

the people trying to take that dog are trash. That dog is the only way the homeless person can protect their stuff usually.

The reason i often care more about dogs is I've seen people beat tf out of their dogs and shoot them for no reason or even f***ing light them on fire as I've fostered and volunteered at shelters for years. I get it from a regular person's perspective, but like I just can't do it based on those horrible experiences.

We as humans do have a choice but realistically majority of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and have less than 1k saved up. All it really take is one big emergency to set yourself back financially. It’s a lot of factors that goes into homelessness tbh. I do get where you coming from tho.

I absolutely agree! And, honestly bro, that is definitely me with the savings part. It is so scary to know it could all come crashing down, with just a simple loss of a job.

There is so many factors that go into homelessness, including mental health & racial factors when it comes to jobs etc. So sad & we really need to keep up with the affordable housing policies to get this s*** in line. Noone deserves to be without a home

Yeah the respectable thing is to put your dog up if people aren’t comfortable. I think some people treat it as a game. That’s why they’ll have these aggressive ass dogs talking about “oh don’t worry, he won’t bite!”. But both the person and the dog could use help, it’s just sad when videos like that pop up and people only care about the pet like there isn’t a whole human being right there down bad that could use help as well.

You’re projecting because you would look at a person in need and look past them and go about your day.
