At this moment Drake is like Jay Z after Magna Carta, he’s like will smith after the slap, he’s Tom Cruise after Oprah, he’s Ye after the antisemite remarks.
People has seen too much of him, they wanted him to lose because he became unrelatable and weird.
Nothing that he does, no matter how good it is, will hit. He just got to let it pass.
If Kendrick does NLU at the superbowl, people will be “ok enough, we got it now” .
And if Drake comes back before the summer and announce an album for October, guarantee he’s gonna break records.
And anybody tells me no, look at all the name I mentioned and how they did lately.
It’s always a bad sign when your only visible fans are autistic social media freaks that obsess over sales numbers see: Nicki.
I’m sure drake will have big singles here and there for a while but his status as the main guy was on the way out before the beef. Ppl were already bored of him that’s why this will always be a hollow victory for Kendrick
That being said I’d love it if this all made him actually try for his next one. He’s a great artist when he wants to be
The quality of his music fell off way before the beef
I haven’t listened to him since scorpion era
I will say this though.
KTT2 is an echo chamber and doesn't even know it.
This site is full of ex-Drake fans, ex-Ye fans, and ex-Cole fans who think that their negative opinions reflect real life.
In reality, it's way more complicated than that and there's plenty of people who listen to them as guilty pleasures(referring to the first 2, Cole isn't controversial) without acting like stans.
It's way safer and more acceptable to be a fan of Kendrick and Future than Drake so you ain't gonna see too many niggas openly stanning Drake irl. But that doesn't mean niggas ain't checking for his music or bumping his newer s***. FATD is still charting on Billboard despite being arguably his worst solo album.
I've dated chicks on dating apps and a s*** ton of them still have Drake songs from the 2020's in their Spotify.
Yeah...Drake isn't beloved by the music forum or "real hip hop" crowd anymore but he's still big enough to garner interest for a new album and have that album stay afloat for a while.
KTT2 isn't real life. The Coli isn't real life. Reddit isn't real life. RYM isn't real life. Believe me, tons of people are f***ing with Drake's music old and new quietly.
Real talk his music just not hitting like it used to
I'm lowkey pissed at Kendrick for ruining it
ya'll spend too much time in comment sections and social media having others create your opinion, he's gonna drop & you ARE gonna listen. like always. every time.
lowkey this will just make him stronger, drop a fire project, act unbothered. people are gonna listen regardless of what you think social media is telling you
Yeah we past the “act unbothered” thing
Bro is suing the industry lmao
People who didn’t like him before and now post beef are saying they don’t listen to him
This entire site will be on the edge of their seat for that new Drake solo
I loved Drake. But after ML I really stopped caring about his half assed output
Yeah we past the “act unbothered” thing
Bro is suing the industry lmao
But when “watch the party die” came out people were pro “fuck the industry”.
What changed?
It’s over for Kendrick smh

Mf Noone cares about that. It's drake being a Lil b**** as usual
People used to die over rap beef and now this dude is filing lawsuits.
I'll give you a serious response
I don't think his career is necessarily over (no artist's career is ever really over unless they stop making or performing music IMO), it's just that I don't see him being taken seriously in broader hip-hop culture after this as well as his status within current "youth culture" is in contention which I think is what he prizes the most
I think Gen Z and Alpha largely sees Drake as a joke/meme now, even before the beef kicked off, compared to his original core fanbase of millennials that have been watching him since the 2000s and I think he's past his prime at this point, he's gonna become a legacy act like his peers, even I think Kendrick is gonna start moving away from music towards other ventures after this whole arc ends, much like what he was doing before this all kicked off
Drake and Kendrick's continued relevance is ironically a bad sign that hip-hop has been unable to truly move past the 2010s like previous generations moved on from their forefathers but thats another discussion entirely
No. He’ll sell shows and music and merch. His music won’t be the same but his career will never end. He’s Drake bruh
Will he be doing packed concerts or random casinos sitting on reservations in 10 years, we will see...
For historical examples, Em does the former, Ja Rule does the latter
TBF really successful legacy acts can move between both with ease like Ice Cube

If drake is still rapping in 10 years on the regular and not on some jayz "special guest verse" s***.......then he really really f***ed up
Like I think even Drake stans should be able to admit that his recent projects haven't reached the level of his previous acclaimed works in the 2010s all the way back to SFG
I actually like HNVM because it reminded me of Passionfruit when Drake goes over house beats and I really liked that song, but it just feels like Drake has been making the same song since like 2017 for the rap s***
He's watching dot from the sidelines now
It's over
“Back 2 back, I liked that record”
Drake acting unbothered? Good one laddie

Fire gif
Thanks for the laugh bro
