It feels like everybody is so all-or-nothing these days. It really seems as though I'm avoiding talking about different things with people I've known a long time because I know we'll disagree, and they'll probably stop talking to me. I feel perfectly okay not agreeing on every little point, and I don't see every differing opinion as a character flaw.

What has y'all's experience been like with different opinions among friends?

im a christian and went to a shabbat last weekend, one of my closest friends is muslim. i went to my friends wedding recently whose family is muslim but he’s atheist. i have hindu and buddhist friends. i have some friends who have the same beliefs, interests, etc and friends who are very different than me in a lot of ways as long as someone’s way of life doesn’t harm anyone or take away from mine why would i care

Yeah I don't mind, as long as their stance isn't rooted in racism. I knew a nigga who genuinely believed that the Earth was flat, fun debates about that. Another friend used to ride heavy for Bernie but got Trump-pilled like crazy. Still a cool guy even though he's cuckoo. That type of s*** like religion and politics isn't even what time I'm on so that's usually like 5% of the conversation lol

I couldn't get down with this because I had several family members who were Black Nationalists, and they were pretty radical. I didn't agree with everything, but I f***ed with the passion and dedication. I think I could be cool with people like that today.
