Thats awesome
I would love to have more parties in this country
They’re very diverse which also brings bad things with it though. We got some actual conspiracy theorists, alt-right racists in there but also got socialists lol
more parties is good and bad. more parties also allows for more fringe groups to rise.
True, think more representation across the board is a net positive
Change is never easy, but it is necessary. Everything is possible if they cared enough.
i guess its possible since women won the right to vote without being able to vote.
but we would be asking politicians to vote to give themselves less power.

Yeah exactly! It is possible but it’s just very, very hard and requires a lot of powerful people to have selfessness.

maybe if it can end the "vote this color no matter what"
Capitalism and democracy are antithetical to one another. The former has always been upheld unquestioned over the latter. The US has only ever been a democracy in name only
I do like the idea of democracy but at the same time i recognize the importance of a strong central government that can act quick on popular issues, and not be stifled by a Congress filled with stubborn politicians who vote against the rival party’s legislation as a matter of principle
Informal democracy: voluntarily associated communities deciding policy through shared culture, values, and customs rather than a bunch of suits bickering in a congressional chamber and using state police to enforce their will.
Switzerland probably has the closest example of a true democracy within a state. Much of the West is better described as a plutocracy -- mouthpiece 'representatives' that all accept lobbyist dollars and openly ignore their constituents after they get elected.

that only ends when 1 side aren't literal fascists

Fascists vs fascist enablers
V compelling choice we have

lets talk about who are bigger fascist enablers: Dnc voters who voted for and got the stimmy bill, a stay on evictions extended, etc, or the people who spend all day here telling people not to vote, so that the actual fascists win?

yeah local and soviets holding authority with overarching political bodies only providing social services is the best system

If you can go ahead and find a post of mine telling ppl not to vote we can have this discussion
But what about the party that sits on its ass while voting rights are slashed, passes no meaningful legislation for months, a terrible foreign policy and immigration stance, etc.,
I want what OP's on
that only ends when 1 side aren't literal fascists
there was a socialist/green party some of yall who say u arnt gonna bote could vote for.

aint it a direct democracy
goddamn that s*** would be so boring bro imagine voting for like literally everything
i guess it makes sense
and is probs the most truest form of democracy
but i feel like in itself it has barriers -- folks who are retired are most likely to vote for s*** bc they dont have anything else to do
itneresting to think abt
yes I think democracy is a good system as long as the rights of the minority are protected there should be more democrat votes by the people on issues
