im not debating that, but it clearly has a basis in islam (or at least in its development)
The practical basis of Islam is that the material world is a testing ground for one’s character and faith to be judged for the hereafter
To say that things are predestined for us totally removes the question of whether someone can become a better person
Sure Allah SWT knows all but that’s not for us to apply to ourselves. We aren’t gods.

I agree actually, but it's not as simple as you make it out to be; otherwise it wouldn't have permeated this many sects to this day
obviously not cus what god would make me be anxious all day every day to the point of doing nothing
seems antithetical of a divine plan for everybody
Ur not praying loud enough Sis
Theological determinism is a form of predeterminism which states that all events that happen are pre-ordained, and/or predestined to happen, by one or more divine beings, or that they are destined to occur given the divine beings' omniscience. Theological determinism exists in a number of religions, including Jainism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It is also supported by proponents of Classical pantheism such as the Stoics and by philosophers such as Baruch Spinoza.
Two days ago I was watching this video about Quantum Physics and the existence of other dimensions. The way I took it—and I could totally be wrong about it, because I know as much about that s*** as Lady Gaga does about cameras—a 4th dimensional being could traverse time like we traverse space. Kind of like that one scene in Interstellar, but my mind went to Dr. Manhattan.
So like a 4th dimensional being can visit or view the past and future from their present, but cannot change anything. But a higher dimensional being experiences it all at once; past, present, and future.
If there was a higher dimensional being that could peer into all temporal aspects of our dimension, and they had both the ability to alter things and infinite time at their disposal, they could obviously change anything, but could they change everything? To be responsible for every fate, from the most important man to the most irrelevant ant? Seems like a f***ing headache.
It's theology, so we're talking God, but what a tiring experience would be for God if that was the case. I know he's God, and I'm far from the most important man. He could obviously dictate everything, but I struggle to believe that he would even want to. What kind of life is that? Purify Moses and turn Ramses heart to stone? One is led to paradise, and the other burns in hell? Nah, I don't buy that.
There has to be an element of choice, for everyone and in all things. If one person will always end up a heretic, and another one a servant of God, worship loses its meaning. Then there is no freedom, just the pious and wicked as determined by God. Again, why would he do that? Why would he want to? God would want people to choose to worship him. It's likely that if God intervenes, it isn't absolute. It isn't everything. The rest is up to you.
"God helps those who help themselves."
what you think OP?
i believe everything in the universe has been predetermined by god or a higher power but i'm agnostic so i can't prove it and if it's not true then i would believe in free will

so do u believe in heaven and hell?
No, but I lean towards determinism in general
Not that it really matters. The human brain is wired to believe that it’s a free agent and acts accordingly.
so do u believe in heaven and hell?
i believe the afterlife, reincarnation, being one with the universe, and becoming nothingness are possibilities after you die
