If you’re not sick, just not feeling like going in?

I just used one of my sick days. I hardly use my sick days at all fr. My last call off was on thanksgiving and I was definitely sick asf but today I’m just not feeling like going into work.

I’m in a position where if I call in, Someone has to take over my duties and it’s mainly management or people that’s trained in my area, that’s where it kinda sucks. And I’m like the best worker.

sounds like the issue is with the company not having enough employees to cover for situations like that so no I wouldn't feel bad...I worked for a small business for 10 years and my dumbass would prly still be there had COVID and bad business decisions not led them to close up shop...I'd call in feeling deathly ill and have my manager still insist I come in and try to guilt trip me about how short staffed they were at the time...in the end they still owe me a f***in paycheck that'll probably take me years to get from them if I even decide to take it to court and go through that process (labor department tried to get it back but soon as the owner quit responding they basically just told me "sorry n s*** you're on your own")...so in short no you shouldn't feel bad about taking a mental health day occasionally bc I promise they aren't considering you when taking their vacations or extended breaks
