I noticed his topic on all of his songs post old country road are about people doubting him and being put in a box. I'm just not seeing it right now when it comes to what lane hes trying to go in. It feels like some of these artist blow up too fast to keep up. Or more so in his case its like he found lightning in a bottle, but is struggling to find a core base.
has he not?
old town road is 2 years old.....
I think we might need another single to really determine where hes going, but its really hard to get a direction from him right now. Even that ep seemed like he was throwing stuff against the wall.
twitter personality career is carrying him, tik tok too ig
bro has all the barbs backing him up too
no
he didnt come in the game as a serious artist, he blew up off a meme song. he could become an influencer or something. maybe start a podcast but musically its not gonna work for him

eh. I can see him having big songs for a good stretch of time now that he's got the gay mafia on his side. he just has to keep things fresh. you have to remember he has an audience of mainly kids, so even tho its not appealing to us, its connecting somewhere
If Im Lil Nas X im praying Drizzy hops on Holiday Remix, and maybe DaBaby and Megan Thee Stallion cuz theyre hot rn.
I think he's kind of an experiment, and if he can sustain his popularity that's a good sign for the future of the industry and certain types of individuals within it who would benefit from being allowed to be more open, or have success while being authentic. So I hope he does

I think the real factor of his success will be whether or not people get him to hop on their songs.
He can do what he's doing right now for the next five years or so as long as his label doesn't care, but sooner or later he has to choose between pop and rap. If he's pop. then he needs to find out how to get pop appeal beyond memes, if he's rap, then he needs to get credibility and build up his catalog. If i was him, i would have done a massive feature run after the EP. He's in a precarious position right now

he did have DaBaby on the Panini remix last year an that was really good
