I typically only do the latter, which, depending on the length of the game, can be a little detrimental because even if a game is great there can be a point you hit where you’re kind of ready to move on to something else.

But I don’t know, mentally I can’t get myself to take a break on something, it’s a block for me.

  • most i can do is 2 single player, 1 multiplayer or vice versa

Playing single player games most of the time I focus on just 1, if i find myself bored and i want to play smth else I might start another one, but usually thats how realise the game im playing isnt that good.

To mix it up 2K and Warzone or sum other multiplayer game I play with friends, these are always in rotation

  • Multiple games at the same time is the answer for someone like me who’s burdened with a backlog.

For sure focusing only on one game at a time helps said game to be taken off the backlog much quicker, but like you said, even if you’re having a great time you may still feel the urge to stop playing it.

Playing multiple games keeps it interesting and engaging, especially when the genres are completely different.

  • One at a time. Hate jumping between games. I lose track of the plot and press the wrong buttons because I get the controls confused

Sometimes I just drop a game and move onto something else tho. My time is way too valuable to waste it on an underwhelming experience. Dropped Jedi Fallen Order because the parry timings are ass, movement felt clunky and it has the worst map system I've ever seen in a game. Couldn't figure out where to go on one of the early planets and just said f*** it, I'll play Spiderman again

I can do 2 at once but 1 of those 2 will be a side piece.

For example, rn my main is FF7 remake and I am playing Mario Wonder on the side. Mario Wonder is strictly for fun. Not tryna 100% it or get super invested in the story (which is quite basic anyways).

Tried to play wonder, ff7 remake, and baldurs gate 3 all at the same time. After making it through the intro of BG3, I realized that this game will require my full undivided attention lol.

I can f*** around with some Mario Kart or whatever but just one usually, especially with these big games like Elden Ring, Like a Dragon, Baldur's Gate, etc

I have to really focus on one at a time or I get overwhelmed and lost in the games. I think that's more because I'm so busy with work/school though because I used to have no problem juggling some Stardew run with smash and red dead or whatever.

During the pandemic I was laid off and would juggle an ass load of games at once cause the library was still open lol

I tried mixing games recently since I got into emulation, but it's impossible for me to keep track of even 3 Pokemon games alone, I'm lost in brillant diamond, prism, and unbound right now cause I only get to play maybe once a week

I hate focusing on more than 1 game, but I’m starting to do it more unfortunately

  • currently juggling

    Remnant 2
    Dead Island 2
    Tales of Arise
    Baldurs Gate 3

BG3 almost done tho the last Act is just so much

Oh nah, playing multiple Pokémon not it. Tried playing HG and Black 2 at the same time. It's difficult adjusting to the different Pokémon, different QOL features etc

I've had Divinity OS2 for like 3 years now - still wrapped in plastic because I just don't have the dedication to focus on it

And I'm bouncing from switch to hacked 3ds (black) to an rg nano (prism, on one OS) to a miyoo mini (unbound, different OS) - the controls changing and going from fast forward to no fast forward is painful

It's a b**** lol. I'm just on brilliant diamond now, but I've abandoned 3 runs in baulders gate the past few months as well cause I just don't have time to play it either and then forget anything I'm doing or what my character build was supposed to become

  • Feb 22

I try to limit it to one single player game at a time with a shorter, more casual game on the side.

but then sometimes I start three games at the same time and leave them all half finished

Nah, I can't imagine playing a Pokémon game without fast forward Always been emulator only

Brilliant diamond is somehow fast enough it works fine for me without it

It took me too long to find out the rg nano gbc emulator does have FF, but you have to open the game in a certain way, so I was like 3 badges into prism and realized I needed to either continue or restart so I just quit playing it tbh. I'll have to restart next time anyways. Can't believe anbernics OS on the rg nano is so half assed since they tried selling them for 80$ at first

Focus on one and everything else in my life has to be in balance for me to be able to focus/enjoy

  • If I try to juggle games I never end up beating any of them

It kinda depends on what I’m really playing, but typically I’ll stick with one single player & whatever multiplayer games my friends are playing.

Right now though, I’m playing Persona 3 Reload, and since it’s a lengthy JRPG, it’s been taking a lot of my time. Haven’t played too much Tekken 8 or Helldivers 2, because dense single player games like that just suck me in

    I’m super f***ed when FF7R drops in a week
